My name is Kelli Gamble and I'm the founder of "Scrapbook Queen Getaways,LLC. "I've been Scrapbooking for over 9 years, and it's definately become my passion in life. I have met so many talented and wonderful women through scrapbooking by Teaching at my LSS, going to Crops,and by attending Scrapbook Conventions and Getaways. I know my favorite kind of scrapbooking get together has always been "Getaway Weekends". With all the rushing around we do on a daily basis in our lives, I know it's hard to get those scrapbook pages completed. But when you get the opportunity to escape the everyday distractions in life to scrapbook non-stop ,while enjoying the company of others... learning new techniques in classes...sharing ideas... eating great food...shopping your heart out ...and having tons of fun, who could possibly resist!(I know I can't!) I love attending scrapbooking events but have found the quality of some of the events to be quite disappointing. Details such as Cropping Space, Accomodations,Classes, Food, Prize Selections,Onsite Shopping , and How Far I need to travel to even attend an event are all very important to me.When I started thinking about creating my own Scrapbook Getaway company, I took all those things into consideration. After alot of planning and help from family and friends, Scrapbook Queen Getaways held their first scrapbooking event in Fall 2002. My husband Mark and I reside in Austintown, Ohio. After 15 years of marriage we were blessed on August 22, 2008 with a beautiful princess named Emma Victoria. When I'm not busy Attending Our Scrapbook Events (My Fun Job!),I 'm a Respiratory Therapist who specializes in Sleep Studies . I enjoy Scrapbooking(of course!), Traveling, and Spending Time with my family who make me smile everyday! Looking back, I often laugh when I think how 8 years ago my very supportive husband told me to "Get A Hobby". Little did he know what he was in for. It was great advice and a few months later his"Scrapbook Queen" was created! |
